Company and Objectives
This role is responsible for analyzing and communicating factory costing data, establishing and maintaining standardized procedures, and managing pricing negotiations with clients and vendors. The ideal candidate brings strong footwear costing expertise, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to liaise confidently in English with international brand customers and cross-functional teams.
Job Description
• Analyze costing-related data for the factory and communicate findings to external stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the costing process.
• Communicate and negotiate with clients and vendors via English correspondence and meetings.
• Perform detailed cost analysis and audits of internal processing procedures, ensuring compliance with brand costing guidelines.
• Lead other costing-related projects and ad hoc assignments as required.
• Support the provision of client-requested data and maintain strong client relationships.
• Handle exceptions and irregularities, coordinating resolutions across departments.
• Serve as the key liaison with Taiwan headquarters on costing matters, costing strategy, and analysis.
• Manage brand accounts, providing CBD (cost breakdown) reports and related cost analysis.
• Manage and lead the costing/quotation team.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of costing experience in the footwear industry; experience with athletic, waterproof shoes, and sandals/slippers preferred.
• Familiar with product development and production workflows, with a solid understanding of cross-functional processes.
• A strong aptitude for numbers and data analysis, making data-driven decisions.
• English written and verbal communication skills, with presentation skills across product categories, along with excellent client-facing and cross-departmental problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
