Company and Objectives

The Global Quality Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the Group’s global quality management function across manufacturing operations in China, Vietnam, and Cambodia. This role will establish and drive a world-class quality management system, develop global quality standards, lead quality operations, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

The position is accountable for ensuring quality excellence throughout the entire product lifecycle, including product development, raw material sourcing, manufacturing, and customer delivery. The successful candidate will strengthen product quality, customer satisfaction, and organizational quality capabilities while supporting the company’s global growth strategy and development of international brand partnerships.

Job Description

1. Global Quality Strategy & Management Systems
• Develop and implement the Group’s global quality strategy and annual quality objectives aligned with business goals.
• Establish and continuously enhance a unified quality management system across all manufacturing facilities.
• Drive standardization, digitalization, and globalization of quality processes.
• Foster a culture of quality accountability and continuous improvement.
• Develop quality policies, procedures, standards, and KPI frameworks.

2. Manufacturing Quality Management
• Lead quality management throughout fabric, trims, cutting, sewing, washing, finishing, and packing operations.
• Establish and optimize IQC, IPQC, FQC, and OQC systems.
• Implement Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) controls and preventive risk management practices.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective action programs for major quality issues.
• Continuously reduce defect rates, rework, customer complaints, and overall cost of quality.

3. Customer Management
• Serve as the company’s primary quality representative to international brand customers.
• Ensure effective implementation of customer quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Lead customer audits, factory audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage major customer complaints and quality-related crisis situations.
• Improve customer quality ratings and satisfaction levels.

4. Supplier Quality Management
• Establish supplier qualification, evaluation, and performance management systems.
• Drive quality improvement programs for strategic fabric and trim suppliers.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and corrective action follow-up.
• Develop supply chain quality risk monitoring and early-warning mechanisms.

5. Global Factory Quality Operations
• Lead and develop quality teams across China, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
• Implement standardized quality KPIs across all sites.
• Promote cross-regional sharing of best practices.
• Conduct regular quality reviews and operational performance assessments.
• Improve quality performance and operational efficiency across manufacturing facilities.

6. Continuous Improvement & Lean
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, 8D, FMEA, and other quality methodologies.
• Establish quality data analytics capabilities and digital quality platforms.
• Drive continuous reduction of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects to enhance first-pass yield and manufacturing efficiency.

7. Compliance & Certification
• Ensure implementation of international quality standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain compliance with global brand quality and social responsibility expectations.
• Oversee quality system certifications and customer audit programs.
• Drive quality risk management and compliance excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above required.
• 15+ years of quality management experience within apparel, textile, footwear, or related industries. Minimum 8 years in a senior quality leadership role within a large-scale manufacturer or global brand.
• Proven experience managing quality across multiple countries and manufacturing sites.
• Experience overseeing operations in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh, or other offshore locations is highly advantageous.
• Experience supporting leading US and European brand.
• Strong technical knowledge in AQL standards, ISO quality systems, Six Sigma, and data-driven approach in quality control.
• Fluent in English, both speaking and writing, proficiency is Chinese is a distinctive advantage.
