Company and Objectives

The Head of Quality is responsible for building and sustaining a high-performance quality culture across the garments division. The role drives a Right-First-Time (RFT) mindset from raw material to final shipment — reducing defects, minimizing rework, and ensuring every product meets global buyer standards.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role — accountable for quality systems, people, data, and outcomes across the full cut-to-sew production cycle.

Job Description

Quality Strategy & Leadership
• Set the quality direction for the division, aligned with business goals and international buyer expectations.
• Champion a zero-defect, prevention-first culture across all production units.
• Own and drive the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction agenda.

End-to-End Quality Systems
• Oversee quality at every production stage — from fabric inspection through cutting, inline sewing, finishing, and final AQL inspection.
• Standardize inspection frameworks (IQC / Inline / OQC) across all units, incorporating buyer-specific protocols and internal SOPs.

Pre-Production Planning
• Lead pre-production meetings, sample approvals, and pilot run validations.
• Identify and mitigate quality risks in construction, fabric, trims, and print before bulk production begins.

Data & Performance Management
• Deploy real-time quality dashboards to track DHU, defect trends, and line/style performance.
• Drive structured root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions to resolve recurring issues.

Raw Material & Supplier Quality
• Manage incoming quality control (IQC) for all materials — fabric, trims, accessories, and embellishments.
• Build and maintain supplier quality programs including audits, standards, and improvement plans.
• Coordinate with the Textile team on fabric quality parameters (GSM, shrinkage, shade consistency, defects).

Buyer & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the primary quality contact for buyers — representing the factory in reviews, inspections, and technical discussions.
• Manage quality escalations, claims, and corrective action plans professionally and promptly.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Production, IE, Merchandising, Sampling, and Textile teams to align quality goals across functions.
• Embed quality accountability beyond the QA department — making it a factory-wide responsibility.

Digitalization & Compliance
• Lead the adoption of digital quality tracking and production traceability tools.
• Ensure continuous readiness for buyer audits and certification body assessments.

Team Building & Development
• Lead a team of QA Managers, Auditors, and Inspectors with clarity, purpose, and high standards.
• Build capability through structured training, KPI-driven reviews, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Diploma and above in any field.
• 15+ years in garment quality management, with at least 5 years in quality leadership positions.
• Proven track record working with international brands and improving RFT rates.
• Candidates with strong background in cut and sew knits products are preferred.
• Deep expertise in AQL systems, inline inspection, and quality control methodologies.
• Practical knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools applied to garment manufacturing.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into action.
• Effective communicator and leader who can influence across all levels of the organization.
