We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven executive to lead the company’s international apparel business operations. This role will oversee global sales and merchandising functions, drive strategic growth initiatives, strengthen customer partnerships, and ensure operational excellence across the end-to-end supply chain.
Job Description
Business Strategy & Commercial Management
• Develop and execute annual business plans, sales strategies, and revenue targets aligned with the company’s overall growth objectives.
• Lead and oversee the full spectrum of apparel operations, including customer development, product development, costing, order execution, production coordination, delivery, and after-sales support.
• Monitor global market trends, industry developments, customer demand, and competitive dynamics to refine product and business strategies.
• Drive growth across strategic customers, product categories, and key international markets to establish a sustainable and scalable business platform.
• Champion continuous improvement in business performance, profitability, customer mix, and operational efficiency.
Customer Management & Market Expansion
• Build and maintain long-term strategic partnerships with key international customers to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
• Lead high-level commercial negotiations, including pricing, contract terms, business models, and risk management for major accounts and projects.
• Partner closely with customers on product planning and demand analysis to support the transition from traditional order-taking to value-added supply chain solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in major international markets, including North America, Europe, and Japan.
• Expand and leverage industry networks and market resources to strengthen the company’s global business presence.
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead the sales and merchandising organization by establishing a high-performance, results-oriented culture.
• Build organizational capabilities through talent development, succession planning, coaching, and team structure enhancement.
• Optimize departmental workflows, KPI systems, and cross-functional collaboration processes to improve execution and service quality.
• Provide strong leadership and hands-on operational support to ensure business objectives are achieved under dynamic and challenging conditions.
• Actively engage with frontline operations to identify and resolve critical issues related to customers, product development, production, and delivery.
Supply Chain & Operational Coordination
• Collaborate closely with sourcing, production, development, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth order execution, quality consistency, and cost control.
• Support the development and integration of overseas manufacturing resources, production bases, and strategic supplier partnerships.
• Take ownership of major operational issues and crisis management situations involving quality, shipment delays, customer complaints, or supply chain disruptions.
• Drive supply chain optimization initiatives, process improvements, and cost reduction programs to enhance overall operational performance and profitability.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or above qualification in any discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the apparel industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale sales or merchandising teams.
• Strong understanding of the complete apparel business cycle, including product development, costing, order management, supply chain coordination, and international trade operations.
• Proven market insight and strong commercial acumen with familiarity across major international markets such as the US, Europe, and Japan.
• Strong analytical and business management skills with the ability to balance sales growth, profitability, product mix, and operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, organizational management, and team-building capabilities with experience developing high-performing teams.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and cross-functional coordination skills with the ability to solve complex business challenges effectively.
• Highly accountable, resilient, and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced international business environment.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese communication.
